DRUG PEER-TEACH MINI-PROJECT
We have been talking about addictions and substance abuse. I would like you to find out some more information about a substance of your choice. When you are done your research you are going to teach the class about this drug in any way that you like (5 min presentation max).
You may work with a partner, or on your own.
1. Choose a drug that you are interested in finding out more about from the list below. If you choose a drug that is not on the list, please be sure that you can find enough VALID and RELIABLE information to complete your research.
2. Learn the CRAAP Model: We're going to meet with Ms. Estabrook and work on evaluating sources. We'll use the CRAAP model- I've attached sheets below.
3. Evaluate 2 websites with the CRAAP Model: You're going to find and evaluate 2 websites about the drug that you're researching.
4. Finish your research and keep track of your sources:
Here are some possible websites you could use if you're stuck. Also- I handed out sources sheets. I don't have an electronic copy, but there are lots in the classroom.
